Traveling With Your Sister

Traveling with people can be taxing and sometimes even with your siblings. I’ve talked about group and solo travel professional ideas, but the one I haven’t touched is the perfect travel companion. Why? Because there is no such thing. No matter how good you get, when there is more than one person involved, there will always be an element of disagreement or compromise. That’s why the best travel companion for me is my sister!

What are you thinking Didn’t you say that traveling with your siblings can be even more taxing and that being a partner means compromising? Okay, but again, nothing in life is perfect, and that’s why I think siblings are the best travel companions.

Here are some advantages and disadvantages which I know discuss below:

Advantages of Traveling with your Sisters:

●   You Understand Each Other:

Chances are, if you’re sister, you’ve grown up together. Maybe no one knows better than your brothers and sisters. They know what you like and what you don’t like and vice versa. No one else can guess what the other person wants to do because you know.

●   Fall? Good day to you!

So you argued with each other and concluded. It happened a thousand times in your childhood, and the next day you are all good. My sister and I argue almost daily and threaten never to travel together again, but these are empty threats. Because who is more comfortable than your sister?

●   You Don’t Need To Sugar Coat Stuff:

Sometimes when things go the way you don’t want them to, you can stop it and not say a word to your partner because, well, you don’t feel like you can. But with your siblings, you say that and tell the other person that you don’t want to do it. Communication is not a problem. Do you hate the picture I took from you? Well, I’ll take another five hundred shots until you’re satisfied.

●   You Are A Family:

You lose a lot of money while traveling & you can’t avoid it. There will be a time when you go in to pay for a mass meal as long as you rush in to withdraw cash and then forget what the hat did and what it ate. Some people are cool with it, but at the end of the day – it’s best to keep things as clean and fair as possible. However, it is not easy to keep track of your spending abroad. When you’re with family, you can be very lenient about distributing things you want, and there’s no risk of running away. Most of the time, older siblings end up paying, even though they have no idea if it’s the right thing to do.

●   Sibling Quarrels:

Not taking any attraction from each other means that there is another reason for the argument. When you can recover the next day, lining up with someone on your trip can lower your good mood. It all depends on how well you get along with your siblings, so evaluate it on an issue by case basis.

●   Stick to Routine:

When you’re traveling with someone you know, it’s easy to stick around doing the same old things in your comfort zone, even though it’s the same with group travel. If you want to experience something new, make new friends, maybe it would be better to go on a solo trip. However, I do know of some cases where clinging together encourages you to go to others.

Here are Some Other Common Reasons to Travel With Your Sister:

  1. With your sister as a travel partner, satisfying your parents to let you go on the trip would be as quick as a blink of an eye!
  1. A sister is tough to defend you, anywhere.
  1. If you have an older sister, you see her as your ATM, which means Any Time Money, it’s always full even when you don’t have a bank balance.
  1. You will never argue about where to go because you want to go everywhere.
  1. During the trip, she will be attending late-night sessions or some Netflix binge therapy.
